IF WE HAD A TEST TODAY...
1) Draw line CD intersecting
Plane FGH at Point N.
2) Draw Plane KLM with points
K,L,M, and E so that
L,M, and E are collinear.
3) Draw plane PQR so that:
points R and T form line RT
points P and Q form line PQ
and the line RT
intersects line PQ at Point W
4) What group or groups of points
in the figure at the right
are Collinear?

ANSWER TRUE or FALSE for this figure...

DRAW THE FOLLOWING
9) The line through K and L intersects
the segment with ENDPOINTS of P and W.
The point of intersection is point Z.
10) Redraw number 9 so that K,L,P and W are coplanar
11) A line thru B and Y intersects a plane DEF
at point F.
12) two congruent segments that lie in (on)
plane HJC so that one of the segments
has endpoints H and C

SECTION 1-4

EGYPTIAN DATES

The ancient Egyptians, among their other accomplishments,
were probably the first people in the history of the world
to discover the number of days in a year down to the nearest integer.

The original version of the Egyptian calendar
had a week of 10 days, a month of 3 weeks or 30 days,
a season defined as 4 months or 120 days,
three seasons equaling 360 days,
which were followed by five unnamed epagomenal,
or "outside the calendar," days to total 365 days in a year.

The calendar reforms were completed during the reign of Augustus

Iulius (July) in honour of Julius Caesar in 44 BC

Augustus (August) in honour of Augustus in 8 BC
